I have been loving ‘What’s in my handbag?’ videos for a very long time. I probably haven’t been watching these kinds of videos for as long as I have been shopping, however, I have been watching them for as long as I have been blogging here (and I can’t believe that I haven’t done a post like this!).
I’ve had this Etienne Aigner handbag for about ten years now, and everything about it is perfect. Sure, there are some scuff marks here and there, and yes, it is very old (vintage old, in fact), but it is one of my favourite bags.
On to the contents…
#1. Cell phone 📱:
I have a Samsung Galaxy 4 phone. I am planning on upgrading it soon, but I am sorry to say that the old stinker was charging somewhere else when I took these pictures. You can believe me when I say that it fits in (the front pocket or actually within) my vintage Etienne Aigner bag.
This is a new-old purse/wallet that I found on Etsy. I was in the market for a sleek and roomy wallet, and this one fit the bill. The usual suspects are in contained within it.
#3. Old Ray Bans (+ aviators that I bought at Ribfest 2017):
The Ray Bans and the case I have had for about ten years (I love them!), and the “Ribfest Aviators” I decide to buy because they looked cute and I didn’t have any aviators that size. I’m happy with both purchases.
#4. Notepad + music sheets (for acoustic guitar lessons):
So, if you follow me on twitter or on Instagram you’ll know that I am currently taking acoustic guitar lessons every week (and loving them!). This little notepad holds my chord sheets/music sheets (which I use in and out of my lessons). I cannot wait for the day that I can play a pro song on a whim! As I write this, I am rocking out to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Happy Birthday…
#5. Cosmetic bag:
I bought this case from Shoppers Drug Mart a few years ago and I love it. The bag has held up well, and it does the very important job of holding all of the stuff that I like to have on me.
Cosmetic case contents…
Maybelline lipgloss, Buxom Tokyo Lipstick, and lip balm (from a shop on Etsy called Abeillesoins) :
I actually wear these three products a lot (but not together). Buxom’s Tokyo is one of my favourite lipsticks, the Maybelline Colour Elixir (which I bought for $2 at I.D.A) is gold for my lips, and that lip balm (which I got for free with the purchase of a soap stand) is glorious.
I am always checking my teeth and reapplying my lip gloss or lipstick. So this is necessary. Fun fact: I got it for free at David Lackie’s event a few years back.
I don’t like the sensation of having anything stuck in my teeth (and I don’t think I’m alone in that opinion) so I use these to keep my teeth clean.
I like using deodorant that is free and clear or aluminium and other additives. This one works OK.
This perfume smells divine (and it’s small enough that you can easily move around town with it).
Who doesn’t stain their clothes every once in a while? Get yourself a Tide-To-Go stick!
Good for cleaning your hands when you can’t wash them (such as right before eating).
Honestly, I’m just trying to finish it. I wouldn’t buy it again because it’s not really a natural product.
As a woman, I need them.
And, that’s all I have in my purse! If it was one of my bigger purses I would squeeze even more things into it. I do have a decent collection of purses that I cycle in and out, but I have been loving this one lately.
What do you keep in your handbag? Let me know (one way or another)!
