Between 2011 and 2012 I was in the best shape of my life. I walked a lot, I ate as cleanly as possible, and I was at my best physically. Somehow, between the first quarter of 2013 to most of 2017, I slowly lost it. Nobody talked to me about it (not that I would want them to) and I never talked about it to myself either. I went through a lot in those years (between battling health issues and dealing with setbacks in my career) but I kept on loving myself along the way (because self-love is an important love to receive). It’s not like I hate my body when it’s thicker (in fact, I still think it’s beautiful), it’s just that I prefer to be fit and curvy rather than thick and curvy. So, I have been doing something about it.
For the past few months, I have been easing back into a healthier lifestyle in the hopes that it will be a permanent thing. I have been walking (a lot), doing yoga, lifting some weights, eating mostly vegan and vegetarian (with some seafood, chicken, and turkey), and I have been developing a whole lot of healthy recipes which I would like to share with you over time.
This marks the beginning of a (hopefully) epic stream of healthy food/healthy eating posts (among other things). Sharing more food posts has been in the works for some time now, and I am excited to share it all with you.
